NASA qsl received for “say HI to Juno” experiment

This morning I found the qsl on my mail.

So I discovered we were at least 1400 saying Hi to Juno that day… so nice!

Personally I used a software to key my transceiver, the pc clock was accurately syncronized in order to be “in time” with other ham operators.

Last autumn NASA asked all ham radio operators around teh world to send a message simultaneously on the same band. (10m)

The purpose was to test radio equipment on board of JUNO spacecraft. Teh message had to be “not casual” in order to be discriminated from backgroud noise.

So on October, 9 2013 we all sent four dits followed by two dits (…. .. H I) in QRSS (very slow radio telegraphy). The result is what you can hear on videoclip down below. It’s amazing!

And this is the card…

And this was about “say Hi to Juno” experiment… happy to be in there!
