This week’s bulletin was made possible with information provided by

MONTENEGRO, 4O. Oskar, LB9N is QRV as 4O/LB9N from Igalo until
October 22. Activity is on the HF bands using some SSB, and PSK and
JT65. QSL to home call.

MALDIVES, 8Q. Andrea, IZ1MHY will be QRV as 8Q7MD on Felidhoo
Atoll, IOTA AS-013, from October 2 to 10 while on vacation.
Activity will be holiday style on the HF bands using SSB, RTTY, JT65
and SIM31. QSL direct to home call.

TONGA, A3. Masa, JA0RQV plans to be QRV as A35JP/p from Niuafo’ou
Island, IOTA OC-123, beginning October 1. He may try to activate
IOTAs OC-169, OC-064 or OC-191 instead. QSL to home call.

SABLE ISLAND, CY0. Aaron, VA1AXC is QRV as CY0/VA1AXC while on an 8
week work shift for Parks Canada coordinating logistics in the new
national park. Activity is mainly on 20 meters using SSB as time

CAPE VERDE, D4. Operators DL3VU, DJ9YL, DO4DJT and DO4THA plan to
be QRV as D44TUL, D44TUN, D44TVA and D44TVF, respectively, from
Tarrafal, Santiago Island, IOTA AF-005. Activity will be on 80 to
10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL to home calls.

MARQUESAS ISLANDS, FO. Patrick, FO5QS will be moving to Hiva Oa
Island, IOTA OC-027, and plans to be there for many years. Activity
will be on all HF bands using CW, SSB and various digital modes.

TEMOTU PROVINCE, H40. Stan, LZ1GC will be QRV as H40GC from Lata,
Nendo Island, IOTA OC-100, from October 4 to 17. Activity will be
on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL direct to home call.

BELGIUM, ON. Members of the Radio Club Leuven are QRV with special
callsign ON500UTOPIA to remember philosopher Thomas More, whose
novel Utopia was published 500 years ago. QSL via ON3AR.

SEYCHELLES, S7. Yury, R2DG will be QRV as S79PA from Beau Vallon,
Victoria, Mahe Island, IOTA AF-024, from October 2 to 12. Activity
will be holiday style on the HF bands using CW, SSB and various
digital modes, with an emphasis on 30 meters. QSL to home call. In
addition, Kasimir, DL2SBY is QRV as S79KB from Praslin Island, IOTA
AF-024, until October 2, and then from Eden Island from October 2 to
8. Activity is on the HF bands using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL to home
call.

TUVALU, T2. Operators John, KK7L and Jared, N7SMI are QRV as T2R
from Funafuti Atoll, IOTA OC-015, until October 4. Activity is on
80 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL to N7SMI.

CENTRAL KIRIBATI, T31. Members of the Rebel DX Group will be QRV as
T31T from Kanton Island, IOTA OC-043, beginning October 4 and will
be active for 6 weeks. Activity will be on 160 to 10 meters. QSL
via 3Z9DX.

PALAU, T8. Akira, JH0CKF will be QRV as T88MZ from Koror Island,
IOTA OC-009, from October 4 to 7. Activity will be on the HF bands
using CW and SSB. QSL to home call.

TURKEY, TA. Operators Metin, TA1ED, Mehmet, TA5FA and Alper, TA5ALR
are QRV as TC0MI from Marmara Island, IOTA AS-210, until October 5.
Activity is on the HF bands using CW, SSB and various digital modes.

LORD HOWE ISLAND, VK9L. Steve, W1SRD will be QRV as VK9L/W1SRD in
the Oceania DX Phone contest. QSL direct to home call.

NORFOLK ISLAND, VK9N. Peter, G0PWH has moved to Anson Bay, IOTA
OC-005, and is QRV as VK9PH. Activity is currently on 20, 15 and 10
meters using SSB. QSL via operator’s instructions.

THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The Oceania DX Phone Contest, NCCC RTTY
Sprint, NCCC CW Sprint, YLRL DX/NA YL Anniversary Contest, 15-Meter
SSTV Dash Contest, TARA PSK Rumble Contest, GTC CW Cup, Russian
World Wide Digital Contest, TRC DX Contest, WAB HF Phone, California
QSO Party, International HELL-Contest, FISTS Fall Slow Speed CW
Sprint, UBA ON 80-Meter SSB Contest and the RSGB International DX
Contest will certainly keep contesters busy this upcoming weekend.

The German Telegraphy CW Contest is scheduled for October 3. The
ARS Spartan CW Sprint is scheduled for October 4. The Phone Fray,
UKEICC 80-Meter SSB Contest, 432 MHz Fall Sprint, and CWops Mini-CWT
Test are scheduled for October 5.

The ARRL National Parks on the Air event runs during all of 2016 to
mark the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
